Per­fect Cir­cle ran well in de­feat, last week and will again run a big race with young, Ba­jan ap­pren­tice An­to­nio White­hall in the sad­dle. How­ev­er, I ex­pect Rag­ing Ha­lo to be clos­est to my se­lec­tion at the end. The John O'Brien trained horse is qui­et­ly com­ing back to his best and with O'Brien's sta­ble fir­ing, he must be re­spect­ed. Pay­outs in two of the four HI-5 bet­ting races dur­ing last week's Re­pub­lic Day hol­i­day card sur­passed $70,000. In ad­di­tion, the Pick 6 car­ry over has risen to over $42,000 and this bet starts at 1.25 pm. Post time to­day is 12.50 pm.
