Sig­nal Hill Sec­ondary, the de­fend­ing cham­pi­on of the To­ba­go Zone of the BGTT/First Cit­i­zens Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League will face its tough­est test when it faces joint leader, Scar­bor­ough Sec­ondary. The clash be­tween Sig­nal Hill and Scar­bor­ough kicks off at the Dwight Yorke Sta­di­um, Ba­co­let from 6pm and will be pre­ced­ed by a 4pm match-up of Pen­te­costal Light & Life and Spey­side Sec­ondary. Go­ing in­to to­day's ea­ger­ly an­tic­i­pat­ed en­counter, both Sig­nal Hill and Scar­bor­ough have max­i­mum nine points each from three match­es, how­ev­er, Sig­nal Hill, 5-0 vic­tors over Pen­te­costal L&L on Wednes­day led by a Pur­cell Ew­ing lead by virtue of a bet­ter goal-dif­fer­ence and vic­to­ry to­day will go a long way in help­ing to de­ter­mine the even­tu­al zon­al cham­pi­ons.

In the North, reign­ing cham­pi­on, St An­tho­ny's Col­lege with a max­i­mum 18 points from its six first round match­es trav­els to Ser­pen­tine Road for its "Bat­tle of the Saints" with ri­vals St Mary's which is nine points off the top in joint third spot with Trin­i­ty Col­lege. East Mu­cu­rapo which trails the West­moor­ing Tigers' by five points will look to keep up its ti­tle am­bi­tions against Queen's Roy­al Col­lege while Fa­ti­ma Col­lege host Trin­i­ty in the oth­er match. There are al­so in­ter­est­ing en­coun­ters in the East and South Zones where last year's di­vi­sion­al cham­pi­ons, and cur­rent ta­ble-top­pers in St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary and Na­pari­ma Col­lege meet ti­tle chal­lengers.

The "Green Ma­chine" as St Au­gus­tine (13 points) is called en­joys a two point cush­ion over sec­ond placed El Do­ra­do East Sec­ondary which it en­ter­tains at home while San Juan North and Ari­ma North, joint third clash at Bourg Mu­la­tresse, and To­co hosts hap­less Barataria South. Down at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la, new South leader, Na­pari­ma (13 points) bat­tles third placed Pleas­antville (11 pts) from 3pm. Two hours lat­er at the same venue, pre­vi­ous front-run­ner, Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege, a point be­hind Naps' tan­gles with cel­lar-placed St Bene­dict's, which has on­ly tal­lied, one point from six match­es.

In the oth­er South Zone match, Princes Town West wel­comes Ves­signy. Cen­tral Zone pace-set­ter' Cou­va West Sec­ondary with nine points from four match­es would be keen to re­bound from its first loss of the sea­son to cham­pi­on Cara­pichaima East (six points) when it plays Tabaquite, which al­so has six points

Cara­pichi­ma with two match­es trav­els to sec­ond from bot­tom Pre­sen­ta­tion while Wa­ter­loo, yet to earn a point is at home to Gas­par­il­lo, an­oth­er team on six points.
