Signal Hill Secondary, the defending champion of the Tobago Zone of the BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League will face its toughest test when it faces joint leader, Scarborough Secondary. The clash between Signal Hill and Scarborough kicks off at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet from 6pm and will be preceded by a 4pm match-up of Pentecostal Light & Life and Speyside Secondary. Going into today's eagerly anticipated encounter, both Signal Hill and Scarborough have maximum nine points each from three matches, however, Signal Hill, 5-0 victors over Pentecostal L&L on Wednesday led by a Purcell Ewing lead by virtue of a better goal-difference and victory today will go a long way in helping to determine the eventual zonal champions.
In the North, reigning champion, St Anthony's College with a maximum 18 points from its six first round matches travels to Serpentine Road for its "Battle of the Saints" with rivals St Mary's which is nine points off the top in joint third spot with Trinity College. East Mucurapo which trails the Westmooring Tigers' by five points will look to keep up its title ambitions against Queen's Royal College while Fatima College host Trinity in the other match. The "Green Machine" as St Augustine (13 points) is called enjoys a two point cushion over second placed El Dorado East Secondary which it entertains at home while San Juan North and Arima North, joint third clash at Bourg Mulatresse, and Toco hosts hapless Barataria South. Down at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, new South leader, Naparima (13 points) battles third placed Pleasantville (11 pts) from 3pm. Two hours later at the same venue, previous front-runner, Presentation College, a point behind Naps' tangles with cellar-placed St Benedict's, which has only tallied, one point from six matches.
In the other South Zone match, Princes Town West welcomes Vessigny. Central Zone pace-setter' Couva West Secondary with nine points from four matches would be keen to rebound from its first loss of the season to champion Carapichaima East (six points) when it plays Tabaquite, which also has six points
