US Boys Sports and Cultural Club recently walked away with the lion's share of prizes at the recently completed White Oak/J&S six table All Fours tournament held at Rossi's Bar in Sangre Grande. Apart from winning two preliminary group stages worth $1,000 each, US Boys copped the first prize of $15,000 and the challenge trophy. The club also won trophies for most "hang jacks" and Best Dressed Team. In the final round-robin, the "Big-8" round, US Boys won six out of seven matches to take the top honours from Firebirds of Arima (2nd place) and Angels of Arouca (3rd place). US Boys is no stranger to winner's row since they have won competitions in Sangre Grande, Cumuto, Arima and Arouca over the years.
The team is currently playing in the Traveller's 6-Table All Fours Competition where they have been the defending champions for the last two years. The team is also eagerly awaiting the White Oak/J&S three table competition and is confident of taking the first prize there also. "US Boys Club is committed to the ideals of fair play and professionalism in All Fours and intends to keep the month of champion of all fours in the east," said captain Randy Sankar. The club was founded in 1986 and is proudly sponsored by Benji's Bakery of Guaico. The management and staff of Benji Bakery has extended congratulations to Sankar and his players.
