Coach of the Trinidad and Tobago cricket team Kelvin Williams says after two losses the management of the team is thinking about changes ahead of their clash with the home team Chennai Super Kings today. Williams speaking on the eve of the match said, "Well after two losses we are thinking about team changes but we have not finalised that just yet and we will be looking at the situation down there at the ground in terms of the pitch and then we will make the necessary decision." T&T comes up against Chennai Super Kings at 8 pm tonight in a must win game.
A loss for the Caribbean men will see them exiting the tournament at the group stage, however, Williams thinks there is still a chance to move on and the players will be going hard at Chennai. "We still have a mathematical chance of advancing to the next round and the players will have to come hard at the next two opposition in order to give themselves that chance." T&T plays Cape Cobras in their final group game on Tuesday also in Chennai. Williams added: "The fact that the Mumbai Indians/Cape Cobras ended in a rain out with the team sharing the points did not help our situation, however we just have to do what is in our control and that is to win our final two games and leave it up to the other results."
With the T&T boys playing in front of the home crowd, Williams said he has already spoken to the senior players and asked them to assist by pulling the young ones through. "It is not going to be easy playing in front of the home crowd. They had supported us in the last game but now they will be against us, seeing that we are playing their team. The senior guys have to pull the young ones through this and I have already spoken to them about this. "Our guys have to go out there and just keep it simple, do the basics right hold their nerve and play their natural game. They need to take the game ball by ball and I have no doubt they will do well."
