Curon Hackett banged in the lone goal as Black Rock FC edged 1976 Phoenix FC 1-0 to move off the foot of the 12-team Tobago Football Association Premier Division standings on Wednesday. With the win, only its second in nine matches, Black Rock improved to nine points in eighth spot, one ahead of Phoenix while Georga FC slipped to last, a further point behind.
Defending champion, St Clair Coaching School leads with maximum 30 points from ten matches, five more than Sidey's FC which has played a match less while Taylor's Rentals Goal City is third with 16 points. In the First Division, David Gill got double for Carnbee/Mt Pleasant in its 5-0 drubbing of Mason Hall PYC.
Dominique Roberts, Kenan Graham and an own goal from Mason Hall accounted for the others as the Carnbee/Mt Pleasant pushed its point tally to 13 from seven matches, six adrift of leader, Youth Stars United. Signal Hill joined Carnbee/Mt Pleasant on 13 points after Dominique Sobers, Keshon Marcelle, Omale Jackson, Huey Khan and Carlie George netted in a 5-0 win over Federal Northside while Calder Hall pipped Moriah Youths 1-0 with Aldon Wheeler on target.
