This was in the sec­ond match of a dou­ble-head­er at the Lar­ry Gomes Sta­di­um, Mal­abar. The "Green Ma­chine" was ea­ger to get back on track af­ter a 3-0 de­feat at the hands of new zon­al leader El Do­ra­do East Sec­ondary. How­ev­er, Ari­ma, 2-0 vic­tors over San Juan North on Sat­ur­day led 1-0 via a Kevin Fi­garo strike be­fore Gomez, sec­ond-half braces sealed the three points. With the win, Ari­ma climbed to sec­ond spot with 14 points.
