The T&T Karate Federation (T&TKF) will be holding a meeting on October 23 at its National Training Centre on 12 Fourth Street, Mt lambert. Thirty-seven of the federation's clubs will convene at the centre to discuss pressing matters regarding the current sport situation in the country. Some of the issues to be addressed include the appointment of a new technical committee, the World United Karate-do Organization (WUKO) Caribbean Cup, the Ministry of Sport's role in the T&TKF, the upgrade of coaches and officials, and upcoming regional and international competitions.
While two representatives from each club can contribute, only one vote will be allowed. The global arm of T&TKF will participate via skype. They include St Lucia, USA, Canada, Grenada, United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, India and Nepal. TTKF is the region's largest multi-style karate organisation. The meeting will be chaired by Darryl Williams, chairman of TTKF and vice president of the World United Karate Organization (WUKO)
