The T&T Karate Fed­er­a­tion (T&TKF) will be hold­ing a meet­ing on Oc­to­ber 23 at its Na­tion­al Train­ing Cen­tre on 12 Fourth Street, Mt lam­bert. Thir­ty-sev­en of the fed­er­a­tion's clubs will con­vene at the cen­tre to dis­cuss press­ing mat­ters re­gard­ing the cur­rent sport sit­u­a­tion in the coun­try. Some of the is­sues to be ad­dressed in­clude the ap­point­ment of a new tech­ni­cal com­mit­tee, the World Unit­ed Karate-do Or­ga­ni­za­tion (WUKO) Caribbean Cup, the Min­istry of Sport's role in the T&TKF, the up­grade of coach­es and of­fi­cials, and up­com­ing re­gion­al and in­ter­na­tion­al com­pe­ti­tions.

While two rep­re­sen­ta­tives from each club can con­tribute, on­ly one vote will be al­lowed. The glob­al arm of T&TKF will par­tic­i­pate via skype. They in­clude St Lu­cia, USA, Cana­da, Grena­da, Unit­ed King­dom, Sri Lan­ka, In­dia and Nepal. TTKF is the re­gion's largest mul­ti-style karate or­gan­i­sa­tion. The meet­ing will be chaired by Dar­ryl Williams, chair­man of TTKF and vice pres­i­dent of the World Unit­ed Karate Or­ga­ni­za­tion (WUKO)
