Thanks to goals from Hughton Hector and Andre Quashie, W Connection was able to continue its unbeaten run in the T&T Pro League, with a 2-1 win over North East Stars yesterday at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva.Hector goal came in the 19 minute with Quashie (38th) adding the winners second some 19 minutes later.Kaydion Gabriel pulled one back for North East in the 72nd minute but the Stars still had to settle for the loss.The victory moves Connection nine points from three win from as many matches, to remain at head of the standings while its opponent lies third with four points from four matches - one win, one loss and two draw.
T&TEC stays second after its match against San Juan Jabloteh ended drawn, 1-1 in the first match of a double-header played at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, Arima. Sylvester Teesdale netted the opener in the 65th, following a goalless first half.Willis Plaza returned in the 76th minute to score the equaliser.In the other match, St Ann's Rangers defeated Caledonia AIA, 2-1. Devon Modeste (3rd) and Errol Mc Farlane Jr (65th) scored for Rangers while Keon Edwards was on target for the losing Caledonia side.
