Debe cruised into the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Big Four final with a 3-0 win over Tobago Champions Scarborough Secondary in the first match of a double-header at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, yesterday.The other match was in the boy's Big Five semifinals between South Zone boy's champion Shiva Boys and Central winner Carapichaima which was in progress at press time.
National attacker Kayla Taylor opened the scoring with a sublime free-kick in the 12th minute.Skipper Patrice Vincent found the second item close to the end of the first half, to give the defending Intercol champion a 2-0 lead.Rae-Ann Montano got the final item at the hour mark to give Debe the 3-0 easy win and a spot in Thursday's National final against the winner of the fixture between St Francois and El Dorado East, which takes place today at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo.
Following that match, North Zone champion St Anthony's College will be challenged by East Zone winner El Dorado East later in another rescheduled Big Five semifinal from 5 pm.The mouth-watering match will see the best of this year's schools' football, as the "Tigers" are yet to drop a point since the beginning of the season, while El Dorado has also gone unbeaten since the league started, dropping points only to draws.The winner of the encounter will take on either Shiva Boys (South) or Carapichaima (Central) in the Big Five Final.
