Cara­pichaima East Sec­ondary ad­vanced to the Co­ca-Co­la In­ter­Col Cen­tral Zone fi­nal fol­low­ing a 3-0 win over Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege Ch­agua­nas, in the first match of a dou­ble-head­er at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um, Cou­va on Wednes­day af­ter­noon.They will meet Cou­va West Sec­ondary, which won 4-1 against Gas­par­il­lo Sec­ondary, in the sec­ond semi­fi­nal match.

In the first fix­ture, Cara­pichaima scored all three goals with­in the span of 12 min­utes in the sec­ond half. Deznil Gill opened in the 58th be­fore Shaquille Hold­er and Yashein Ri­vas sealed the win in the 67th and 70th min­utes, re­spec­tive­ly.Cou­va West then took on Gas­par­il­lo, and the for­mer team found the back of the net with the first op­por­tu­ni­ty in the third minute of play when Kendall Ben­jamin opened.

Lennard Thomas lev­elled the score-line in the 21st minute for Gas­par­il­lo, as both teams re­mained at one a piece un­til half time. In the sec­ond half, Jaf­fit Williams brought the team back up at 2-1. Lerome Lewis made it 3-1 in the 65th minute, be­fore Williams found his sec­ond item with five min­utes re­main­ing.

Cara­pichaima and Cou­va West will meet in the fi­nal at the same venue on Fri­day from 4 pm. East Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary al­so ad­vanced with a 4-3 penal­ty shoot-out win over Fa­ti­ma Col­lege at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um, Mu­cu­rapo.They will meet the win­ner of the bat­tle be­tween St An­tho­ny's Col­lege and St Mary's Col­lege, which was on­go­ing, but goal-less at press time last evening.

Ac­tion in the To­ba­go Zone fi­nal will kick off to­day, at the Dwight Yorke Sta­di­um, Ba­co­let, at 5 pm, be­tween Sig­nal Hill and Scar­bor­ough Sec­ondary.The South Zone fi­nal will al­so kick off to­day at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la, at 3 pm when Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege San Fer­nan­do takes on reign­ing South league cham­pi­ons Shi­va Boys.
