DUBAI, Unit­ed Arab Emi­rates – Four mem­bers of West In­dies new look bat­ting brigade have made strides in the lat­est ICC Test play­er rank­ings.Mar­lon Samuels, Dar­ren Bra­vo, Kirk Ed­wards and Adri­an Barath all en­joyed move­ment in the of­fi­cial rank­ings af­ter get­ting half-cen­turies in the sec­ond in­nings of the last Test in Kolkata against In­dia.Samuels, who stroked an en­ter­tain­ing 84, rose nine places to 67th while Bra­vo, who carved out a su­perb 136, jumped sev­en spots to 35th.

Barath's 62 saw him move six places to 79 while Ed­wards rose two spots to 49th on the heels of his 60.There was no such luck for vet­er­an left-han­der Shiv Chan­der­paul who slid four places af­ter get­ting scores of four and 47 at Eden Gar­dens.Mean­while, the top five of the stand­ings re­main un­changed with Sri Lankan stroke-mak­er Ku­mar San­gakkara at the sum­mit.
