Ignition Coil to stop Wonderboy

Champion trainer John O’Brien is expected to continue his winning trend today, when he saddles the SIS owned Ignition Coil in the feature event for Imported and West Indain Bred three -year-old maidens, over 1,350 metres on the main track. O’Brien, who is already ahead in the trainers championship, should strike again with the speedy, American bred three-year-old, which ran a blinder on his debut behind Gabby’s Gold and today’s rival Gabby Wonderboy. In that race, Ignition Coil showed excellent early speed and stayed on well to the finish, though outclassed by the winner. Today, I am certain that Ignition Coil has improved sufficiently, in the capable hands of the champion trainer and will improve past his main rival. Ignition Coil will have to be at his best, as Gabby’s Wonderboy will be tumbling down at the end and looks to be a very good staying prospect for the season. The ARC’s 2012 season continues today at Santa Rosa Park. Post time is 1 pm.
