Au­toSport Rac­ing As­so­ci­a­tion will be stag­ing the first of ten Events in its 2012 Cham­pi­onships to­day at the ARC Car Park Ari­ma. In Ju­ly 2011, Au­toSport launched a new form of Mo­tor Rac­ing, which saw Drag Rac­ing and Solodex be­ing in­ter­wo­ven to come up with a high­ly at­trac­tive event now com­mon­ly re­ferred to as Drag At­tack or Drag and Wind(ing). A fea­ture of this event is the par­tic­i­pa­tion by com­peti­tors across the board from sev­er­al dis­ci­plines in­clud­ing: Cir­cuit Rac­ers, Drag Rac­ers, Solodex Rac­ers, Kart Rac­ers (with cars). Au­toSport has been able to at­tract some of the new-car deal­ers and have seen agents of the Au­di A1 and the Fi­at Bra­vo recog­nis­ing the po­ten­tial of hav­ing their cars ex­posed to the sport­ing pub­lic in this en­vi­ron­ment. The Fi­at Bra­vo ac­tu­al­ly won its class in De­cem­ber 2011 event, dri­ven by the very ex­pe­ri­enced De­vi Nath.
