Queen’s Park manager Jeffrey Guillen thinks his team can repeat the treble this season, after their two convincing wins over the weekend. Guillen speaking on the Monday night cricket show hosted by former Test player Suruj Ragoonath on WinTv said: “We have the personnel to do the treble again. I looked at the team on the weekend and they have the same hunger they had last time around, when we achieved the unprecedented treble last year.” The Parkites won the Sunday league title, the Premiership crown, as well as the T20 tournament. Guillen has seen enough to be confident of similar success. “Queen’s Park have some very good players as you know but more importantly the depth in our team is very good. This would prove to make the difference because we will be losing a lot of players to regional and international commitments.

“Our bench strength will be tested and I am confident they would pull us through.” QPCC stands to lose Keiron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo, Shannon Gabriel, Sunil Narine and Marlon Barclay to the national team. “We have players like Amit Jaggernauth who did not play on the weekend, coming in and it will be fantastic to have him replace Sunil Narine in the bowling line-up. We have the depth and it will tell.” Guillen, whose son Justin Guillen skippers Queen’s Park says the biggest threat may come from T&TEC. “Looking at the opposition we have, I think the biggest battle could come from T&TEC. They have a very strong team, with some big named players and could be very dangerous. I see them as the team to watch besides us.”
