Police continued its excellent showing in the Women's Division of the SBL with a double win over reigning champions Courts Horizon, this time by an even heavier scoreline of 77-58 in the first match at the Jean Pierre Complex, on Monday night. After winning the first encounter 61-58 against Horizon, Police continued to display an incredible team effort, with a consistent seven wins in as many outings. As she has done incessantly throughout the season, reliable forward Rhonda John-Davis bagged a double-double with a 24 point tally and 14 rebounds.
John-Davis led four other team mates into double figures, with forward Kielle Connelly on 14 points and five rebounds, and a pint-sized Michelle Hinds who finished with a similar 14 points and four rebounds. Tressia Brathwaite and Leslie-Ann Bacquain also scored 13 and 11 points respectively, for Police. For Horizon, which put up a strong fight up until the half when they trailed 35-32, national centre Rachael King again had a fine all-rounded effort with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Adina Cummings and Crystal Kirton, meanwhile finished with 12 a-piece.
