Po­lice con­tin­ued its ex­cel­lent show­ing in the Women's Di­vi­sion of the SBL with a dou­ble win over reign­ing cham­pi­ons Courts Hori­zon, this time by an even heav­ier score­line of 77-58 in the first match at the Jean Pierre Com­plex, on Mon­day night. Af­ter win­ning the first en­counter 61-58 against Hori­zon, Po­lice con­tin­ued to dis­play an in­cred­i­ble team ef­fort, with a con­sis­tent sev­en wins in as many out­ings. As she has done in­ces­sant­ly through­out the sea­son, re­li­able for­ward Rhon­da John-Davis bagged a dou­ble-dou­ble with a 24 point tal­ly and 14 re­bounds.

John-Davis led four oth­er team mates in­to dou­ble fig­ures, with for­ward Kielle Con­nel­ly on 14 points and five re­bounds, and a pint-sized Michelle Hinds who fin­ished with a sim­i­lar 14 points and four re­bounds. Tres­sia Brath­waite and Leslie-Ann Bac­quain al­so scored 13 and 11 points re­spec­tive­ly, for Po­lice. For Hori­zon, which put up a strong fight up un­til the half when they trailed 35-32, na­tion­al cen­tre Rachael King again had a fine all-round­ed ef­fort with 16 points and 17 re­bounds. Ad­i­na Cum­mings and Crys­tal Kir­ton, mean­while fin­ished with 12 a-piece.
