King out of TTWCA title defence

Technocrats will open the defence of their T&T Women’s Cricket Association League title without the services of West Indies allrounder Stacy Ann King, who left yesterday for the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) pre-tournament camp in Antigua in preparation for the upcoming series against India. King, along with West Indies and T&T captain wicketkeeper Merissa Aguillera and allrounder Britney Cooper, both of Phoenix and off-spinner Anisa Mohammed of Maaad Rangers will join the rest of the Windies women outfit as the regional team prepares for the upcoming series against India.

Back in T&T, Rangers and Technocrats will meet in one of three Premiership matches scheduled to play tomorrow (Sunday) in the 40-over competition. That match will be played at Squadron Ground in Arouca. At Pinto Recreational Ground, Phoenix takes on Pinto Spice Girls and over at Arima Enclosure formerly Larry Gomes enclosure, Cricket Lovers play Moosai. There will also be two matches in the Championship Division, San Rafael faces Achievers and Hibiscus Ladies challenges Northwestern Seagulls. All matches start at 12 noon.
