Chev­elle Mc Pher­son led Bar­lett House to the cham­pi­onship at the Sig­nal Hill Sec­ondary an­nu­al Sports meet­ing at the Dwight Yorke Sta­di­um, Ba­co­let on Fri­day. Pher­son claimed four gold medals tak­ing the girls un­der 15 100, 200, long jump and shot put events. Bar­lett copped the over­all award with 1,502 points ahead of Yorke (1,315), St. Clair (1,050) and Wheel­er (973). Mc Pher­son and her team­mates dom­i­nat­ed the girls un­der 15 di­vi­sion as Asha James took the 400 and javelin ho­n­ours and Shadae Daniel tak­ing the dis­cus throw. Kadisha Wil­son (girls un­der 20 100/200/400), Stephen Clarke ( boys un­der 15 100/200) and An­to­nio Clin­ton (boys un­der 15 dis­cus/javelin) all con­tin­ued valu­able points to the yel­low clad run­ners. The Yorke duo of Shaquan­na Scott (girls un­der 14 100/200/long jump) and Tariq Hor­ford (boys un­der 14 100/200/long jump) were all triple win­ners for the run­ner-up while Khe­mani Roberts took the girls un­der 17 100 and 200. The stand­outs for St. Clair were Sherice Crichlow (girls un­der 17 400/long jump), Chelsea James (girls un­der 17 shot put/dis­cus), And­wuelle Wright (boys un­der 17 100/long jump) and Desmond Leg­erton (boys un­der 17 400/800). Bar­lett be­gan the day by tak­ing the March past crown. The top ath­letes will rep­re­sent Sig­nal Hill Sec­ondary at the To­ba­go Sec­ondary Schools Track and Field Cham­pi­onships which have been re-sched­uled to Feb­ru­ary 13 and 14 at the Dwight Yorke Sta­di­um.
