TSTT com­plet­ed its fifth straight win on Thurs­day evening in the Courts All Sec­tors Net­ball League, to re­main the on­ly un­beat­en team in the Al­ter­na­tive Di­vi­sion. This was at the East­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na in Tacarigua. The five-goal (35-30) vic­to­ry was over the Uni­ver­si­ty of T&T (UTT), giv­ing the school­girls their first loss of the sea­son. Shoot­ing for the win­ning team were Janelle Wil­son and Cherise Carmichael, who each scored 12 goals from 21 and 22 at­tempts, re­spec­tive­ly and Sophia Harp­er. She net­ted 11 off 21. Sharon Phillip top­scored for UTT with 14 from 23.

TSTT will play its fi­nal round one match on Mon­day against T&T Hos­pi­tal­i­ty and Tourism In­sti­tute (TTHTI), which de­fault­ed on its match against the Uni­ver­si­ty of South­ern Caribbean (USC) in the sec­ond match that was card­ed on Thurs­day. Ac­tion con­tin­ues to­day from 2 pm in the top lev­el di­vi­sions. In the Pre­mier­ship cat­e­go­ry, UTT with top shoot­er Saman­tha Wal­lace on board will look to keep a clean sheet when it faces ri­val Po­lice in the fi­nal en­counter on the night from 5.45 pm. Wal­lace has the main shoot­er for UTT's suc­cess and it will re­ly to her to re­main con­sis­tent. Fire will to­day, seek to bounce back from its 37-33 loss to the po­lice of­fi­cers last week­end, when it plays Bermudez from 4.30 pm.
