Base Boys eked out a narrow one-run Group A triumph over El Socorro South to register their second win in as many games in the BSCC Windball Night Cricket Competition last Friday at Number Three Recreation Ground, Valsayn. The nail-biting win was due mainly to some fine bowling at the death courtesy of Wendell Samuel (two for 11) and Stephen Lopez (two for 12), which enabled Base Boys to put the squeeze on a fighting El Socorro South outfits, who reached 75 for eight from 12 overs going at 76 for eight.

Efforts by Timmy Singh (22) and Dwayne James (21 no) were not good enough to see their team over the line. Dexter Samuel (24) and Trevor Mohammed 22) were the main contributors with the bat for Base Boys. Dave Rambarran took three for 26 and Kevon Ramdhanie had two for 13, bowling for El Socorro, who were losing for the first time from three outings.
