National footballer Brent Sancho will make his acting debut after landing a small role in the Canadian film Home Again. Sancho will play the part of the Trenchtown Don at a big Passa Passa scene to be shot in Belmont on Friday. “I am slightly nervous but very excited about it. I got a little taste of acting when I did the ad for Direct TV, but this is like potentially becoming the next Vinnie Jones,” he laughed referring to the former Chelsea footballer turned actor. Sancho, who shot to international prominence as a member of the 2006 FIFA World Cup squad, joins the cast starring Tatyana Ali, CCH Pounder, Lyriq Bent and Canadian recording star FeFe Dobson. Local stars include Patti-Ann Ali, Cecilia Salazar, Penelope Spencer, Michael Cherrie, George Gonzales and Terri Leigh Bovell. The cast also features Jamaican actors Kadeem Wilson of Ghett’a Life and the legendary Paul Campbell. Home Again, executive produced by Academy-Golden Globe-Emmy award winning Don Carmody (Chicago, Good Will Hunting, Gothika, Amelia), is produced by Multiple Gemini award winning Jen Holness and directed by Multiple Gemini award winning Sudz Sutherland. Trinidadian Lisa Wickham is the Line Producer. The motion picture has been filming in various locations across Trinidad since January 16.
