Win­ners of this year's Re­gion­al four-day tour­na­ment which start­ed last week will be award­ed the Headley/Weekes tro­phy in ho­n­our of West In­dies greats George Headley and Sir Ever­ton Weekes. A num­ber of oth­er in­di­vid­ual awards will al­so be hand­ed out to the out­stand­ing play­ers dur­ing the tour­na­ment in clud­ing the Vi­vian Richards award for the most runs and the Court­ney Walsh award for the most wick­ets.

Three teams record­ed out­right wins in the first round which end­ed on the week­end. They were T&T who beat the CCC; Guyana who whipped the Lee­wards and Ja­maica who out­bat­tled the Wind­wards.
