Comets, KFC host development programme

The Alescon Comets Sports Club in conjunction with KFC will be launching the KFC/Comets Youth Development Programme 2012 at 4 pm, today at the Pierre Road Recreation Ground in, Charlieville. Comets Cricket Club official Suruj Ragoonath said the launch will take place with over 75 kids present. According to the former Test player, turned television host: “We have been hosting this programme in conjunction with KFC for the past few years and it has really been successful. Today, the club has lost some top players but yet remain competitive because we have through this development programme, produced quality young cricketers. “This has helped the club survive and I want to say a heartfelt thanks to the sponsors, as well as all the officials and supporters of the club who have assisted in making this a success.”
