Gleno­ra Sports Club qual­i­fied for the semi­fi­nals of the North Zone 40 over com­pe­ti­tion with a thrilling vic­to­ry over arch ri­vals In­vin­ci­ble on Sat­ur­day at the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah. Gleno­ra won the toss and took first strike and were bun­dled out for a measly 81 in 22 overs. Ste­fon Bis­soon top scored with 14 not out, Wes­ley Bal­roop al­so made 14. Vet­er­an medi­um pace bowler Adri­an Don Mo­ra had the best fig­ures for In­vin­ci­ble with 3 for 18. Gleno­ra how­ev­er fought back and even­tu­al­ly bowled out their op­po­nents for 79, win­ning by two runs. Na­tion­al un­der 13 play­er Emi­lo Gopaul was the best Gleno­ra bowler with 4/17 from 5 overs while Bran­don Boodram got 3/18 from 7 overs. Gleno­ra how­ev­er lost their fi­nal group stage game on Sun­day to Sweet Re­venge.

Bat­ting first Gleno­ra made 119/9 off their 40 overs with Andy Alexan­der mak­ing a stroke filled 48. Luke Lat­iff took 3/25. Sweet Re­venge then made light work of the to­tal reach­ing 120/4 off 27 overs. Ri­ad Al­ly scored an un­beat­en 51 while Sean DeS­ouza slammed 41. Andy Alexan­der re­turned with the ball tak­ing 3/19 in his 8 overs. In oth­er match­es in the group In­vin­ci­ble bounced back from their loss on Sat­ur­day to de­feat Paragon on Sun­day by a whop­ping 108 runs. Paragon won the toss and in­sert­ed In­vin­ci­ble. An­tho­ny Telfer top scored with 41 out of a to­tal of 175/6, paragon were then bowled out for 67 with An­tho­ny Bal­bosa scor­ing 33. Lar­ry Kow­lessar was the best bowler for In­vin­ci­ble with a haul of 4/7 from 3.5 overs and Bri­an Noel got 3/22 off 5 overs. Har­vard al­so made light work of Paragon on Sat­ur­day. Har­vard made 125/9 in their 40 overs. Paragon were nev­er up to the task and were bowled out for 70.
