Rougier’s double sees Rangers past WASA
St Ann’s Rangers became the sixth TT Pro League club to advance to the TTFF FA Trophy Round-of-16 teams following a 3-1 win over Eastern Football Association’s WASA FC at WASA Ground, St Joseph, on Monday. WASA, actually took the lead as early as the 9th minute through a Darren Castillo item, but an unfortunate own goal from teammate Joseph Peters, in the 25th minute, put Rangers back on level terms. The goal inspired a quick come back from Rangers, which found its first lead from Cameron Rougier in the 37th minute. The lead was then extended to 3-1, just five minute later, when the same Rougier found his second goal. The scoreline which red 3-1 at the half, stood until the final whistle as the Pro League outfit survived the early scare.
