Phillip bags 80 valuable points

T&T cyclist Njisane Phillip earned valuable points toward his Olympic qualification when he placed ninth in the match sprint at the London leg of the UCI World Cup on Sunday  morning. Phillip was the top-ranking cyclist from the Americas region, earning him a vital 80 points to go towards his overall tally. The event was won by 36-year-old Chris Hoy of Great Britain (300 pts), who was followed by Germany’s Maximilian Levy (260) and Robert Forstermann (220) respectively. On Saturday, the 21-year-old had placed 11th in the keirin.
