Left arm spinner Akiel Hosein finished with match figures of 11 for 104 (6-52, 5-52) while captain Justin Guillen made a vital 78 as defending champions Queen's Park Cricket Club edged T&TEC by two wickets in the second round of the T&T Cricket Board's (TTCB) Premiership in St Clair yesterday.
Resuming their second innings on eight without loss, having secured a five-run first innings lead on Saturday, T&TEC got to 208 all out with contributions from Kevon Cooper (70), Azrudeen Mohammed (41) and Ryan Ramsary (40). Hosein was backed up by Gary Pierre, who grabbed four for 48.
Led by opener Guillen, the Parkites reached the target of 214 for the loss of eight wickets. Anthony Balgobin (33), Daron Cruickshank (32), Uthman Mohammed (30 n.o.) also chipped in as their team gained 26 points.
