Fire Service called on Nariba Grant again and the goal-shooter responded with a match-high 31 goals from 57 attempts to beat Police, 43-30 in the Jean Pierre Challenge of the Courts All Sectors Netball League on Tuesday night.
The competition which is tailored for teams in the Championship Division was played at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena in Tacarigua. Grant was key for the Fire unit's opening match when they bettered the University of the West Indies (UWI) by 12 goals (39-27). The former junior national netball also scored 31 goals in that affair from 46 tries.
Jabloteh made it it two on the trot, beating UWI, 34-23. Police is coming off a 84-15 victory over Bermudez on the weekend. Fire will go for full points after sharing with the University of T&T (UTT) when their opening match ended drawn at 40.
