Fire Ser­vice called on Nari­ba Grant again and the goal-shoot­er re­spond­ed with a match-high 31 goals from 57 at­tempts to beat Po­lice, 43-30 in the Jean Pierre Chal­lenge of the Courts All Sec­tors Net­ball League on Tues­day night.

The com­pe­ti­tion which is tai­lored for teams in the Cham­pi­onship Di­vi­sion was played at the East­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na in Tacarigua. Grant was key for the Fire unit's open­ing match when they bet­tered the Uni­ver­si­ty of the West In­dies (UWI) by 12 goals (39-27). The for­mer ju­nior na­tion­al net­ball al­so scored 31 goals in that af­fair from 46 tries.

Jabloteh made it it two on the trot, beat­ing UWI, 34-23. Po­lice is com­ing off a 84-15 vic­to­ry over Bermudez on the week­end. Fire will go for full points af­ter shar­ing with the Uni­ver­si­ty of T&T (UTT) when their open­ing match end­ed drawn at 40.
