De­fend­ing cham­pi­on Tracey Clarke end­ed in the lead in the Ladies' Di­vi­sion on the open­ing day of the Sagi­cor St An­drew's In­vi­ta­tion­al Golf Tour­na­ment in Mo­ka yes­ter­day. She shot a one un­der pay 71 – the low­est score of the day. 10 strokes be­hind her in this di­vi­sion is Ys­abelle Lawrence with an 81. In the Su­per Se­niors First Flight, Ar­joon Sam­lal re­mained the strongest con­tender with a score of 73. He was fol­lowed by Ty­rone Leong with 75. In the Su­per Se­niors Sec­ond Flight Sel­wyn Hakim leads with 84. In the Se­niors Di­vi­sion Dou­glas Am­mon claimed a score of 76 ahead of Michael Com­mis­siong and Car­los Beck­les. In the First flight Di­nesh Jack­ree and An­gard Son­ny­lal leads with a score of 75.

T&T's Ju­niors did not dis­ap­point with Sachin Ku­mar and Wan Ju Lee each hav­ing scores of 76. A close­ly con­test­ed tour­na­ment is on for to­day as Bri­an Lara, Deryck Gon­salves and Clint Al­fred al­so end­ed with scores of 76.
