W Connection continued to impress in the Oasis Youth Pro League, taking wins in all three divisions over T&TEC, in Round One Match Day Seven, on Sunday. The “Savonetta Boys” played at home, at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, and began the day with a slightly nervy 4-2 win in the Under-14 division in the morning. Isaiah Hudson, a regular on the team’s scoresheet, opened for W Connection within two minutes. T&TEC then found an equaliser through Jabari Hodge in the tenth minute but  items from Jarod Gordon (22nd), Judah St Louis (32nd), from the penalty spot and Kareem Riley (37th), which put W Connection up 4-1. T&TEC had a short scope at a comeback when Shobal Celestine found the net in the 46th minute, but W Connection held on to the lead, and won comfortably in the end.

In the second encounter, W Connection took a 2-0 win, with goals from Yafeu Rougier and Michael Basdeo in either half. Rougier’s goal meant that he had scored in six of W Connection’s seven Under-14 matches, with an impressive total of eight goals. The Under-18s followed with a 1-0 win, with Akeem Roach finding the only goal in the 37th minute. W Connection remains on top of the standings in the Under-16 and Under-18 divisions, and is level with San Juan Jabloteh at the top in the Under-14 division. St Ann’s Rangers also continued to excel with wins over North East Stars in the Under-14 (7-1) and Under-16 (3-1) divisions. The two teams drew 1-1 in the Under-18 division. Jean-Marc Jackman, Raheem Borde and Tekay Hoyce all scored a double each in the 7-1, Under-14 drubbing.
