Offspinner Amit Jaggernauth took six for 30 to help defending champs Queen's Park Cricket Club regain the number one position in the T&T Cricket Board Premiership Two Day Tournament when they won first innings points over former leaders Moosai Sports at the Oval in St Clair yesterday. Resuming on 163 for two, after a rain-plagued first day, the hosts eventually declared on 254 for nine with the main contributions coming from captain Justin Guillen (80) and batsman Marlon Barclay (51).
In reply, Moosai lost wickets regularly and were eventually dismissed for 131 as Jaggernauth and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel (2-35) won the battle against their batsmen. The Parkites then raced to 84 for two in nine overs before declaring with Dwayne Smith hitting an attacking 56. By the time play was called off at 5:55 pm, the visitors had reached 25 for two. Queen's Park earned 14 points from the match to move to 125 overall while Moosai, who settled for five, are on 120.
