CHEN­NAI- West In­dies all-rounder Dwayne Bra­vo took two key wick­ets but his Chen­nai Su­per Kings still came up short as Kolkata Knight Rid­ers, fea­tur­ing an­oth­er West In­dies play­er Sunil Nar­ine, clinched a five-wick­et win in the last over in the In­di­an Pre­mier League yes­ter­day. Bat­ting first af­ter win­ning the toss at the MA Chi­dambaram Sta­di­um, Chen­nai tal­lied 139 for five with Bra­vo get­ting a run-a-ball 12. Suresh Raina top-scored with 44 from 34 balls while Nar­ine con­tin­ued to mys­ti­fy bats­men, tak­ing one from 24 from four tight overs of off-spin.

Open­er Gau­tam Gamb­hir then stroked 63 from 52 balls to lead Kolkata's re­ply but was one of two Bra­vo wick­ets, as his side slipped to 124 for four in the 19th over. Bra­vo, who fin­ished with two for 27, al­so claimed dan­ger man Jacques Kallis for 26 to break a threat­en­ing 70-run, sec­ond wick­et stand with Gamb­hir. Need­ing six from the last over, Kolkata got the re­quired runs with two balls to spare. The win en­sured Kolkata stays in sec­ond place with six wins, three loss­es and a no-re­sult from ten games. Chen­nai has four wins, five loss­es and a no-re­sult.
