For­mer na­tion­al play­er reg­is­tered a beaver as De­fence Force clob­bered Carib 7-2 for its sixth straight win from as many match­es in the T&T Hock­ey Board Mixed Vet­er­ans Di­vi­sion at the Na­tion­al Hock­ey Cen­tre, Tacarigua, on Tues­day night.

Wren got his goals in the 26th, 37th, 52nd and 70th minute for De­fence Force which was tied at 2-2 at the in­ter­val for the "Brew­ery Boys".

Bri­an Bur­rows with a goal in each half (2nd & 55th) and Kirth Davis (47th) added one each for the win­ners, while Ian Ram­sam­my (fifth), Ian Chung (tenth) and Davys Ram­sam­my (65th) got Carib's replies.

De­spite its sixth win from as many match­es for max­i­mum 18 points, De­fence Force still trails Queen's Park on goal-dif­fer­ence at the top of the ta­ble while the Parkites have al­so com­plet­ed its round-robin cam­paign of sev­en match­es.
