Fifteen-year-old W Connection goalkeeper Stephan Seepersad has been given a six-month rest period by doctors after being admitted to hospital after experiencing severe chest pains. Seepersad, who played for Naparima College in 2011 Secondary School Football League (SSFL), was recently selected to join the national under 17 team for the upcoming Caribbean Football Union (CFU) competition. The Point Fortin resident  started experiencing chest pains following an under-16 Pro League match against T&TEC FC on April 22. The following Monday at approximately 10 am during class, Seepersad fell ill and experienced difficulties breathing. He was rushed to San Fernando  General Hospital  where he spent a week undergoing tests, but doctors have failed to determine the reason for his illness.

He’s currently waiting a referral to visit a heart specialist. Seepersad, a W Connection player for the last five years, said that he was disappointed in the lack of concern from the TTFF and his club W Connection. “I feel like they do not care about my well-being. Only the  physiotherapist (Curtis Guy) of  W Connection visited me and I got a call from the team manager Debbie ,” said Seepersad. Seepersad also denied that he was given help from the  TTFF and W Connection according to media reports.
