Over 200 sea­soned road run­ners and new­com­ers have signed for the 24th edi­tion of East­ern Cred­it Union's an­nu­al road race se­ries which is la­belled the "Granny Luces Clas­sic" to­mor­row morn­ing. The 5K race starts at St Mary's Chil­dren's Home in Tacarigua. The day's pro­gramme al­so in­cludes a 15-kilo­me­tre race be­gin­ning at the Ari­ma Velo­drome. Both races start at 6 am and end at the La Joya Com­plex, East­ern Main Road, St Joseph. Cleve­land Forde is ex­pect­ed to de­fend his ti­tle against renowned run­ners Pa­menos Bal­an­tyne, Richard Jones and Cur­tis Cox. Ath­letes will be com­pet­ing for sub­stan­tial prize mon­ey and tro­phies.
