There will be a nine-race card today at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, when the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) sponsors its second day of racing-Tobago Day At The Races. There will be two events for the goats over a distance of around 100 metres on the turf track this afternoon. The first goat race will be at 12.50 pm and the second at 4.15 pm. The two feature events are the SFA Main Ridge "Rain Forrest" National Stakes, over 1,800m which carries a purse of $100,000 and the Grade One Pigeon Point Heritage Park, Three-Year-Old Sprint over 1,350 metres, which has total prize money of $150,000. The features have attracted seven runners and top trainers John O'Brien and Derick Mosca are set to lock horns. In the Sprint, O'Brien will send out Ignition Coil with Brian Boodramsing astride and he will take along the top-weight of 56.5 kilos. He will hand out two kilos to the Shivam Maharaj owned Gabby's Gold, in a field where nothing else should get close. Ignition Coil was second to Bruceontheloose in his last start. Post time is noon.
