St Au­gus­tine SC and Step by Step both se­cured pro­mo­tion to the Pre­mier Di­vi­sion and a spot in the fi­nal of the T&T Women's League Foot­ball (Wolf) First Di­vi­sion Big-Eight com­pe­ti­tion with nar­row wins on Sun­day. Play­ing at the Ed­in­burgh 500 Recre­ation Ground, St Au­gus­tine edged the re­cent­ly es­tab­lished St Ann's Rangers' women team 1-0, thanks to a lone item from Naomie Guer­ra.

In the oth­er match host­ed at the Wood­ford Lodge Recre­ation Ground, Step by Step FA oust­ed pop­u­lar sec­ond placed South Zone fin­ish­ers Debe All Stars 2-1. Jo-Marie Lewis was on tar­get and as­sist­ed with a sec­ond as Jami­la Mur­phy slot­ted home the goal which would put Step by Step in­to the fi­nal. It is not all bad news for Rangers or Debe All Stars. Both teams, which con­sists of young tal­ents, will have an­oth­er shot at pro­mo­tion in the third-place pay­off. Both the date and the venue of the fi­nal and the third-place play­off will be de­cid­ed by to­mor­row.
