St John's-T&T will meet home team Lee­ward Is­lands in the open­ing match of their West In­dies Crick­et Board Re­gion­al Un­der 15 Tour­na­ment in St Kitts.

De­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Ja­maica will al­so clash with Bar­ba­dos in the open­ing round at Warn­er Park where West In­dies and New Zealand re­cent­ly con­clud­ed their One Day In­ter­na­tion­al bat­tle. The oth­er match will see Guyana tak­ing on Wind­ward Is­lands at Cona­ree. The tour­na­ment will con­sist of 15 two-day match­es played at three venues and un­der tai­lor-made rules for ju­nior crick­et. The first round bowls off on Wednes­day and the tour­na­ment con­cludes on Ju­ly 31. The tour­na­ment will see the con­tin­u­a­tion of the use of the pace wick­ets bonus points sys­tem which was im­ple­ment­ed by the WICB to en­cour­age teams to use their fast bowlers. The sys­tem will award teams 0.5 points for each wick­et tak­en by a fast bowler on that team. All bonus points will be added to the match points. As has be­come cus­tom­ary, the WICB will al­so host a play­er de­vel­op­ment sem­i­nar dur­ing the tour­na­ment. WICB play­er re­la­tions of­fi­cer Ayana Coop­er in con­junc­tion with a for­mer in­ter­na­tion­al play­er will make pre­sen­ta­tions to the re­gion's un­der-15 crick­eters.
