West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach warmed-up for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand with a hostile spell of four for 28 to reduce the tourists to 137 for eight, at the close on the opening day of the three-day tour match against the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) President's XI at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua yesterday. Sent in to bat, the Kiwis struggled as they found Roach too much to handle with the new ball in his hands. The only man showing resistance was the in form Kane Williamson who battled through for 55. Also among the runs was Kruger van Wyke who notched 34. Apart from those two, the others found the going too tough and succumbed to sustained aggressive bowling. The other four New Zealand wickets to fall went to DeLorn Johnson, and the Guyanese spin triplets Narsingh Deonarine, Assad Fudadin and captain Veerasammy Permaul. CMC
