Her sentiments were strongly endorsed by Jenita Lewis, manager of the St Vincent team. Paula Daniel-Linton, marketing manager of Courts, who lent financial support to the project, attended the closing activities and acknowledged the TTWCA's effort and remarked at the focus and intensity of the young cricketers in their approach to the game. She noted the team spirit and camaraderie she observed among the teams. Present at the function was TTWCA's president Dr Patricia Elder who complimented the young women on their dedication, and reminded them that "cricket is a game, not only about the bat and ball but has elements with lessons for life of immense value for developing into strong, independent and well–rounded women and sound citizens".
