The ath­lete who will have the ho­n­our of car­ry­ing the T&T flag at the pa­rade of na­tions dur­ing the open­ing cer­e­mo­ny of the Games of the 30th Olympiad in Lon­don on Fri­day will be of­fi­cial­ly re­vealed by the T&T Olympic Com­mit­tee to­day.

The T&T team will leave Cardiff, Wales to­day and jour­ney by coach to the Olympic Vil­lage in East Lon­don. T&T Chef de Mis­sion, An­nette Knott said the ath­letes and team of­fi­cials will ar­rive at the Olympic Vil­lage at around 4pm. "The pre Olympic train­ing camp went ex­ceed­ing­ly well. Ac­com­mo­da­tion at the Vale Re­sort was top of the line. I must com­mend the mem­bers of the team for con­duct­ing them­selves with dis­ci­pline and class. They were won­der­ful am­bas­sadors for T&T." Ac­cord­ing to Mrs Knott the ath­letes are all fo­cused and there is a buzz of ex­cite­ment and an­tic­i­pa­tion.
