The T&T Box­ing Board of Con­trol of­fi­cials are cur­rent­ly con­sid­er­ing be­tween three fight­ers to go up against WBC Cabofe Light Heavy Weight Cham­pi­on Kirt Sin­nette at Uni­fied Box­ing Pro­mo­tions' up­com­ing card sched­uled for the Wood­brook Youth Fa­cil­i­ty on Au­gust 30. The board has sent pro­pos­als for Cuban Yor­da­nis De­spaigne (9-2-0), Amer­i­can Yusaf Mack (31-4-2) and Colom­bian Elei­der Al­varez (9-0-0) to the WBC for its ap­proval. The win­ner of the fight with Sin­nette will gain a shot a cur­rent WBC Light­weight Cham­pi­on Chad Daw­son.

Mean­while, Sin­nette has been hard in train­ing, tight­en­ing up on all as­pects of his game. "Bring who­ev­er," he said. "I've wait­ed so long for an op­por­tu­ni­ty like this. You could bring all three, I fight­ing them." UBP's Gio­van­ni Potts said the ne­go­ti­a­tions be­come more treach­er­ous at such a high lev­el. "We've have had of­fers from all over the world but be­fore the end of the week, we would have an op­po­nent and we're mov­ing for­ward. "As we go for­ward to­wards cel­e­brat­ing our 50th An­niver­sary of In­de­pen­dence this sport­ing event will be able to show the world what we have to of­fer."
