Chair­man of the T&T Karate Fed­er­a­tion (TTKF), Dar­ryl Williams, has been pro­mot­ed to Sichi­dan (7th De­gree Black Belt) by the All Japan Seishinkai Karate Fed­er­a­tion (AJSKF). His grade is of­fi­cial­ly reg­is­tered in the Black Belt reg­is­trar of the World Unit­ed Karate Or­ga­ni­za­tion (WUKO).

Williams is an ac­com­plished coach and ref­er­ee and oc­cu­pies many lead­er­ship po­si­tions in the karate com­mu­ni­ty. He is the co-or­di­na­tor of ref­er­ees for the WUKO and head on the Unit­ed States Sport Spe­cial­ty As­so­ci­a­tion (USS­SA) Na­tion­al Karate Ref­er­ee Pro­gram and al­so serves as their Di­rec­tor of In­ter­na­tion­al Re­la­tions. He is al­so chair­man of the Panamer­i­can Unit­ed Karate Union (PUKO) Ref­er­ee Coun­cil.

He was re­cent­ly ap­point­ed Pan Amer­i­can rep­re­sen­ta­tive for the In­ter­na­tion­al Seish­in­ryu Karate Fed­er­a­tion (ISKF) of Hokkai­do, Japan. Soke Kat­su­mi Okubo, 9th Dan is head of ISKF and a spe­cial ad­vis­er to TTKF. Sen­sei Williams is well sought for con­duct­ing ref­er­ee cours­es and tech­ni­cal work­shops in ac­cor­dance with the WUKO karate rules. He has been in karate since 1970 and a ref­er­ee since 1984. He op­er­ates Bas­sai Karate Do­jo-In­ter­na­tion­al out of Or­lan­do, with mem­ber clubs in New York, Cana­da, St Lu­cia, Guyana and Trinidad and To­ba­go.
