All­rounder Yan­nick Ot­t­ley belt­ed an un­beat­en 74 off 58 balls for the Ja­son Mo­hammed XI dur­ing an aban­doned na­tion­al tri­al match against the Rayad Em­rit XI at the Na­tion­al Crick­et Cen­tre in Cou­va yes­ter­day. Af­ter be­ing sent in to bat, the Mo­hammed XI piled on 165 for four in its 20 overs. Hav­ing been re­duced to 67 for three in the 11th over, they were boost­ed by a pro­duc­tive fourth wick­et stand be­tween Ot­t­ley and his cap­tain (32 off 21), who added 70 off just 43 balls. The in­nings gained fur­ther mo­men­tum when Navin Stew­art chipped in with an un­beat­en 20 off eight balls to­wards the close. Medi­um pac­er Em­rit and spin­ner Khary Pierre were the top bowlers for the Em­rit XI, each tak­ing 4-0-26-1. The match had to be aban­doned at the halfway stage as rain show­ers halt­ed play.
