Hundreds of enthusiasts, young and old, turned out to enjoy a day of competition at the fifth edition of the Illusions Sports Club Sports and Family Day, hosted at the Mayaro Government School Ground, on Emancipation Day. Even teams competed in novelty events, with Street Vybez becomming the overall champions, after copping the tug-of-war competition. The event was coordinated by the Police Service Athletics Club, with music provided by the Mayaro-based Malachi International. The club's Public Relations Officer, Matthew Pierre said the annual event brought the various communities in the south-east region together in a day of fun activities. "Our main objectives are to build community spirit in the region and to raise funds for our charitable events. This is the best family day since inception and we thank all the teams for making it a tremendous success," said Pierre.
