The curtains will open for the 46th season of the Eddie Hart Football League on Sunday, with four exciting exhibition matches and a march past ceremony, at the Eddie Hart Ground, Tacarigua, from 2.30 pm. More than 75 teams are expected to be represented for the parade, which is expected to be acknowledged by Minister of Sport Anil Roberts, along with Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Dookeran and former national cricketer, Alec Burns. An Under-13 match between San Juan Jabloteh and Trendsetter Hawks will begin proceedings with a battle of women's teams, Trincity Nationals and Real Dimension to follow.
St Anthony's College and Trincity Nationals will then meet, before the feature match between Premier Division champions MAASH and Knock-out winners Paradise FC rounds off the day's action. Entertainment will be provided by DJ?Klass, along with popular acts including Republic Bank Exodus, Witco Desperadoes, Petrotrin Phase II, Couva Joylanders, Sangre Grande Cordettes, Sando Old Tech and La Familia. League action will begin on August 25, and conclude on December 23, with six divisions in action vying for over $275,000 in cash prizes.
