La Horquetta SA, Malabar FC advance to FA Trophy final

La Horquetta SA bagged a couple of first half goals to sneak into the final of the Emerald Plaza and Apartments-sponsored Eastern Football Association (EFA) FA Trophy Competition, with a 2-1 victory over Joe Public, on Thursday. The winner, which also sits third in the Premier Division League table, will meet the league-leader Malabar FC which thrashed Boss FC 8-0 in the other semifinal encounter. For La Horquetta, which defeated WASA in the quarterfinal, Keron Clarke scored a brace, with his first goal coming in the 15th minute, before Joe Public levelled the score with an effort from Keith Wyllie seven minutes later. Clarke got his second goal in the 37th minute which proved to be the match winner as Joe Public, failed to get on the scoresheet for the duration of the second half.
