Digicel T&T Pro League champions DirecTV W Connection left T&T yesterday for Guadalajara, Mexico, where it will face Mexican giants Club Deportivo Guadalajara, popularly referred to as Chivas on Wednesday at the 49,000-seater Estadio Omnilife, Zapopan, Mexico from 10 pm (T&T time). The "Savonnetta Boys" left with a squad of 19 players under the guidance of head coach and technical director Stuart Charles-Fevrier. A former T&T national team coach, St Lucian Charles-Fevrier has put together a strong squad expecting success as he intends on capitalising on Chivas' 1-0 loss against Xelaju last week in Guatemala. The team will be captained by national goalkeeper Jan-Michael Williams and includes veteran St Lucian defender Eligah Joseph, a host of national Under-23 players, as well as their most recent signing Surinamese striker Stefano Rijssel.
