Sun Crest In­ter­na­tion­al, dis­trib­u­tor of the Well­man range of prod­ucts, has pumped $60,000 in­to the sec­ond an­nu­al Golf For Life fundrais­ing tour­na­ment be­ing host­ed by the Ro­tary Club of St Au­gus­tine at the Mil­len­ni­um Lakes Golf and Coun­try Club in Trinci­ty on Sat­ur­day. For the sec­ond straight year, Sun Crest has sup­port­ed the event with the funds raised go­ing to­wards as­sist­ing Heart­beat In­ter­na­tion­al of T&T (HBITT) in pro­vid­ing pace­mak­ers and de­fib­ril­la­tors to needy pa­tients through­out T&T along with oth­er char­i­ties sup­port­ed by the Ro­tary Club of St Au­gus­tine.

Pres­i­dent of the Ro­tary Club of St Au­gus­tine, Vish­nu Bal­roop said: "The tour­na­ment was very suc­cess­ful last year, en­abling the club to as­sist pa­tients who had no ac­cess to these life-sav­ing de­vices. "From the 2011 tour­na­ment, we do­nat­ed $95,000 to HBITT and $25,000 to Heart­beat In­ter­na­tion­al Re­gion­al Dis­tri­b­u­tion Cen­tre of T&T." The golf tour­na­ment will tar­get 50 teams of two golfers from through­out the Caribbean, who will vie for ten pairs of at­trac­tive prizes.

Chair­man of golf tour­na­ment com­mit­tee and past-pres­i­dent of the club, Kr­ish­na Bood­hai ex­pressed his grat­i­tude to Sun Crest In­ter­na­tion­al Ltd as well as all the oth­er spon­sors, and urged new teams to come out and en­joy a day of good golf, food and ex­cel­lent prizes.
