Two-time de­fend­ing sin­gles cham­pi­on Rahul Ram­per­sad and Justin Sui part­nered in tri­umph over top-class op­po­si­tion in Anil Seep­aul and Ger­man Bilind Ogale at the in­au­gur­al T&T Bad­minton As­so­ci­a­tion (T&TBA) Open Dou­bles 2012 Cham­pi­onship, on Sat­ur­day.

The one-day event was staged at the Cen­tral Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na (CRISA), in Ch­agua­nas, with a Round-Robin and Knock-out for­mat chal­lenged by both men and women. Ram­per­sad and Sui dis­placed of Matthaus Wil­ford and Ja­son Ram­jass 21-10, 21-14 in the first round-robin match be­fore beat­ing Roger Moore and Mark Springer 21-18, 21-14 to ad­vance eas­i­ly to the fi­nal.

Seep­aul and Ogale were as con­vinc­ing with straight wins over Moore and Springer 21-18, 21-14, and Wil­ford and Ram­jass 21-11, 21-13, to book the oth­er fi­nal spot. The two teams of Moore and Springer, and Ja­son and Wil­ford were made to set­tle for a tied third.
