Chang­ing her reg­u­lar po­si­tion from de­fence to at­tack, Debe Sec­ondary's Aman­da Theodore was clin­i­cal with a four-goal out­ing, as she led her team to a 10-0 vic­to­ry over Fyz­abad Sec­ondary, in the BGTT/First Cit­i­zens Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) Girls' South Zone Cham­pi­onship, on Thurs­day. Theodore's tal­ly, along with a hat-trick from na­tion­al youth play­er Kay­la Tay­lor and a goal each from Patrice Vin­cent, Jody Joseph and Shanelle Ar­joon, gave Debe Sec­ondary its sixth con­sec­u­tive vic­to­ry since the be­gin­ning of the sea­son, to go on 18 points in the stand­ings and nine points ahead of the two near­est teams, Ves­signy and Point Fortin East.

While Debe con­tin­ued to im­press in South, St Au­gus­tine Sec­ondary al­so con­tin­ued its 100 per cent win­ning record with a 3-0 tri­umph over To­co Sec­ondary. Lau­relle Theodore bagged a dou­ble, which fol­lowed Chelsea Gibbs' open­er, putting the league's most dom­i­nant team, with a record of 53 goals from sev­en match­es. St Au­gus­tine has al­so kept a clean sheet in every match. Mean­while, Bish­ops fi­nal­ly got off the mark with a 4-4 draw at Ari­ma North.

Hav­ing con­ced­ed at least four goals in every match this sea­son, Bish­ops sur­prised many by at­tain­ing the re­sult, al­though the team held a two goal lead un­til the fi­nal minute of play, when Ash­ley Mark popped with a dou­ble, to com­plete a four-goal ram­page on the day. Ari­ma will be very dis­ap­point­ed by the re­sult, as they won the open­ing leg this sea­son 7-0. Up North, St Fran­cois Sec­ondary re­bound­ed from a shock 4-3 de­feat by St Joseph's Con­vent to whip Tran­quil­i­ty Sec­ondary 4-1.
